About the event
Meet: Visitor center parking - Blackjack trail at LLELA (Please note that LLELA charges a 5$ parking and entrance fee)
Who: Adults and mature youth due to the slow, therapeutic nature of the program.
What to expect: The Blackjack Trail is a non-even, unpaved trail through a Cross Timbers forest remnant dominated by post oak, cedar elm, and blackjack oak The trail route includes a number of prairie glades with native grasses and wildflowers. We will walk about 1 mile. After a short introduction about Nature and Forest therapy, i will guide you through a series of invitations that will allow you to reconnect with Nature and yourself and the community. After each invitation, we will take a moment to share and reflect. The walk culminates  with a tea ceremony and snack.
Bring: Water, trail shoes, dress for the weather, wear insect repellent and bring sitting pad if preferred to ground.
Weather disclosure: If weather does not allow us to have our event or recent weather has caused the trail to close, i will either relocate, reschedule or refund your ticket price OR you can transfer to another date. Please check your email for any updates.
